Op. Dr. Halit Ziya Postalcı was born in 1968. He graduated from one of Turkey’s most prestigious high schools, Kadıköy Anatolian High School, in 1986. He subsequently completed his medical degree at Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine (Çapa) between 1986 and 1992.
He completed his specialized residency training in Orthopedics and Traumatology at Istanbul Haseki Training and Research Hospital (1993 – 1997). He earned his specialist degree with his research thesis entitled "Comparison of MRI and Arthroscopy in Meniscal Lesions" supervised by Assoc. Prof. Dr. İlhan Cever.
Between 1997 and 1998, Dr. Postalcı worked in England under Sir John Bradley at the Adela Shaw Orthopedic Unit of Scarborough Government Hospital in North Yorkshire, and performed surgeries at NHS Trust Bupa Belvedere Hospital, gaining extensive international surgical experience.
After completing his compulsory medical service at Gazipaşa State Hospital, he practiced in Istanbul and subsequently operated at Bahçelievler Aile Hospital (2016 – 2018), performing over 1,200 successful orthopedic surgeries annually. Since 2019, he continues to treat patients and perform surgeries at his private practice in Bakırköy, Istanbul.
